Ways to Give

Envelopes

Envelopes are an excellent way to give.  Parish members may use their weekly or monthly contribution envelopes and include the donation with the weekly offertory during Mass.  You can also hand deliver your envelope to the Parish Office, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or mail via USPS to:

Stock Gifts

A donation of stock may allow you to transfer this asset to St. Martin of Tours Parish without paying capital gains on the appreciation. When you sell stock outright, capital gains and income taxes will be due, but by giving the stock instead, your gross income remains unaffected. Capital gains tax becomes a non-issue and you claim the charitable deduction. Appreciated assets must be owned for at least 12 months. Consult your tax advisor for more details and information.

If you choose to make a stock donation, please contact the bookkeeper at the Parish Office for the name of the brokerage firm we use, the DTC # and the Account # for St. Martin of Tours.

Planned Giving

Gifts that are planned, in advance, as part of an individual's estate plan are known as Planned Giving. After making sure your loved ones are taken care of, please consider a planned gift to St. Martin of Tours Parish. Planned giving takes many forms: bequests of estate, a gift of property, or a more complex giving arrangement such as a charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust.

Consult with your tax professional about how your estate may be eligible for an estate tax deduction for the value of the bequest.
